NEWS SINCE LAST EDITION - MAY 4, 2022

EXCERPTS FROM OUR MAY 9 MEETING

    PROGRAM

    • Our meeting was in-person at the Selkirk Golf and Country Club.
    • Program Guests: Sean Rayland-Boubar, owner and founder of Red Rebel Armour, along with employee Justin and daughter Aira. The story, vision and product set them apart from other companies

Through Sean’s vision, they are creating employment opportunities for those needing/looking to transform their lives after release from prison. There are several barriers faced when people are released. Building on existing skills, Indigenous made clothing is created through this social enterprise operation. There is cultural significance and stories in all products. They are doing this to reunite families and help their people. A very inspiring story. Visit their website Redrebelarmour.com

Another successful year for LOTR! Here are some photos and Facebook posts, as well as some comments from guests.

Thank you to everyone for the great job that you pulled off on the weekend! A well oiled machine, fine as clockwork and wonderful lobster to top it all off. Thanks so much.

Our children gave us 2 lobster  dinners to celebrate our 60th anniversary and we want to thank all of you so much for such a wonderful meal.  It was absolutely perfect from start to finish!  Your crew had it timed perfectly. We came home, enjoyed a bottle of sparkling wine while it reheated and sautéed some fiddleheads freshly picked minutes before at Selkirk Park and asparagus from our garden  to go with it all.
    Sheila Kaltenberger
Great evening, excellent process for pick up and fun!   A special thank you to the young artist who drew a “have a great evening” and decorated our bag.  Compostable dessert bowls -so good to see. Coleslaw could have been bigger for us.
    Thanks!
    Sheila & Brian Kaltenberger
