Good evening wonderful Rotarians!
It was so great to see everyone last night! We were happy to welcome Eva Vida, the District Chairperson for the Rotary Foundation. It was a good refresher for our more seasoned members and definitely an eye opener for our newer members about what the Foundation can do! Eva is transitioning in December to look after the Rotary Foundation for Canada! Congratulations!!
Membership was 63% last night and Rotarian Al Curtis was busy collecting monies for the upcoming Christmas Party on December 11th. If you haven't let Al know if you are coming yet, please do so as soon as possible. Tickets are $40 each. Beef or Turkey option. (Yum)
Our February Fundraising committee is putting the final touches on pricing and options for us. This will be brought forward for a Club vote at the November 27th meeting. Please make every attempt to come to this meeting. We want everyone's input! The question was do we have an in-person wine & beer tasting event, or do we go ahead with Viva La Vino and sell raffle tickets?
Lastly, the budget will be sent out to everyone in the near future for us to vote on. A big thanks to Treasurer Lesli for all the work she puts into creating this document!!
Up Next, Join us to welcome the new RCMP Inspector on November 27th as he will give us a talk about the latest public safety initiatives that keep Selkirk & District safe.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
