The Spoke 1992-93 Excerpts By Jean Oliver I found an old copy of The Spoke from 1992-93 and Gayle Halliwell was president and Bill Bodman was the incoming president. Bill encouraged everyone to attend the District Conference. The theme for that conference was “Bring A Friend” which fits in very well with this month's program of recruiting new members for our club...(This ties in with President David’s desire to increase membership.) It was also noted that we had Club Representatives for: Handibus; Youth for Christ; Selkirk Scouts, Selkirk Food Bank, Rec Foundation and Arc Industries. Rotarians Al Curtis and Doug Anderson were co chairs of the Ice fishing Derby: Brian Surridge and Fraser Stewart were chairs of Environment Protection, Dave Moore was Chair of Fellowship Activities. It was a busy club and everyone seemed to take an active role in committees!!! |
