- 50/50 Ruth pulled 5 of Spades, not Ace of Spades. Pot continues to grow.
- Acting Sergeant-at-Arms, Rhonda, worked the crowd and fined people for various things and collected Happy Dollars.
- Ruth circulated and reviewed membership cost. Ruth moved increase to $200./person. Seconded by Elaine. Carried.
- Ruth circulated and presented Lobsterfest financials. Net profit was $24,037.95.
- Rhonda reported discussion held Sat., Jun 9 where list of improvements for future Lobsterfest developed.
- July 7, 2018 – Gimli Rotary Lobsterfest - needs volunteer assistance.
- Sat., May 25, 2019 – next Selkirk Rotary Lobsterfest.
- Book Sale – Marsha reported the Barn ice surface has been booked—no rental fee. Aug 27-31, 2018 is set up for Book Sale. Sep 6, 7, 8 & 13 is Book Sale. May need to get tables from the school.
- Membership Committee –
- Cathy circulated and reviewed membership info. Three types of membership for 2018/19:
- Active
- Friends of Rotary
- Honorary Membership
- (Not going to do Family Membership at this time—keep for future).
- Sharon noted looking for ideas to promote Rotary, as need more members. There’s a new title “Passport Clubs” for clubs that meet with flexibility.
- Motion to accept the work of the Membership Committee was moved by Elaine, seconded by Marsha. Carried.
- Cathy circulated and reviewed membership info. Three types of membership for 2018/19:
- RSVP needed for Jun 25, 2018 Rotary Meeting Supper - will recognize honorary members – spouses invited to attend.
