It is an honour to introduce myself as a new member of Rotary and I am excited to be a part of this worldwide community. My passion for building and maintaining relationships and supporting the success of all students has been shaped over the past 24 years as an educator in the Lord Selkirk School Division. I have taught at 3 different elementary schools, including on a Hutterite colony. My passion for mathematics led me to serve as lead teacher for LSSD for over 4 years. My administrative career began in February 2016 and I am now principal at Happy Thought School.
Having grown up in Selkirk and now living in East Selkirk, I understand and value the connections a small community has to offer. My husband, Andrew, who teaches the electrical program at the Comp, and I have been married for 22 years. We have two children, Carter, 20, and Victoria, who is 17 and will be graduating grade 12 in June 2021.
Some of my interests and hobbies include cooking and baking, reading, and walking our dog, Murphy.
