The Vocational Service Award is presented annually to someone in the community who has exemplified outstanding professional and business achievement while maintaining very high ethical standards. The Selkirk Rotary club has recognized many men and women from the Selkirk and District area. One such recipient was Boyd Kozak who spent 32 years at the CKRC Station. Boyd carried out many varied assignment including covering the Pope's visit to Winnipeg in 1984 and live on location broadcasts. In 1995, Boyd become part of the broadcast team at CFQX in Winnipeg.
Boyd Kozak was extremely active in the community and contributed countless hours working in support of a wide range of good causes.
The Selkirk Rotary club presented the 2021-2022 Vocational Award on November 29 at the Selkirk Golf and Country Club.
