July 8 Lift stretchers for Selkirk paramedic station with Roland Fontaine - Retired Paramedic
Lobsterfest is a huge undertaking and and I am always astounded at the number of Rotarians, their spouses, children and friends who make up the workforce for that one event. This year we also were helped by our new Friends of Rotary and Honorary Members and no I have not forgotten the students and their parents.
This year we had some challenges but they are not insurmountable and I am sure with careful thought we can find solutions that will resolve these problems.
So.....a big thank you to all. Lobsterfest brings families and friends together and is a huge part of our Club's history.

A past member of the Rotary Club of Selkirk and his wife are receiving national recognition on June 18 in Edmonton. What an honour for two very deserving people, Lewis and Freda Wasel.
FREYA & LEWIS WASEL
Lewis practiced law in Selkirk, Manitoba and was honoured as a life bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba. He was founding president of Selkirk & District Community Foundation and president of several other Selkirk organizations. He was a board member for several Winnipeg Jewish organizations, including the Board of Jewish Education and Camp Massad. Since moving to Edmonton in 2000, he has been an active community volunteer. Lewis is currently Gabbai of Beth Israel Synagogue, president of Jewish Seniors Drop-In Centre, and a past president of Jewish Family Service.
