 Honourary Rtn Dave Aime will be sadly missed by all his friends at the Selkirk Club for his support and fellowship. He was a kind and generous person and gave much of his time and effort over the years to benefit the community and other people.

DAVID WEIR AIME After a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis, with his family by his side, Dave succumbed to his illness on July 3, 2011 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital. Dave is survived by his loving wife Gladys, and his three children: Alan (Marusia), grandchildren David and Danika; Gail (Tom) Charlo, grandchildren Coryn (Nic), Jana and Jordan; Kevin (Denise, children Brennon and Sam). He is also survived by his brother Harry and sister Beth. He was predeceased by his parents William and Janet Aime, three brothers, Maurice, Robert (Bob) and Edward (Ted), one sister Catherine Tataryn. Dave was born on March 12, 1932. He lived in Clandeboye his entire life. His passion was farming and this was his life long occupation, along with 32 years of school bus driving. Dave was proud to be a Manitoba Pool Elevator delegate for 15 years, was an honorary life member of the Rotary Club of Selkirk, and was a longtime volunteer with the Clandeboye Skating Club. A special thank you to Dr. Graham Fuchs for his many years of dedicated care, the Selkirk and District General Hospital staff, and the Home Care Program. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, at Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk. Private interment to follow at a later time. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 9Z9 or the St. George's Wakefield Church Cemetery Fund, Box 2, Clandeboye, MB R0C 0P0.
